The Fury

Book Cover l The Fury l Paranormal Romance Author l Sloan McBride l Book 1 of the Time Walker Series

What do you get when you mix paranormal romance with ancient Sumerian mythology? A pulse-pounding tale of demons, danger, and undeniable passion. This steamy adventure promises a heart-racing ride.

Denver’s backstreets don’t intimidate Reese Whittaker. Until she steps outside a downtown bistro to find herself dodging poison darts—then flattened beneath a couple hundred pounds of smoking-hot badass. Who rumbles into her ear that he’s here to save her from…demons?

The man looks wild and dangerous, as if an ancient warrior has stepped right out of the Sumerian mythology she studies. But while he sends chills racing up and down her spine, Reese isn’t accustomed to being ordered around. By anyone.

As a time walker, Dagan’s duty is straightforward: protect humanity from evil demon hordes. But one touch of this beautiful, headstrong spitfire, and the fury—the driving need to bind her to him, body, mind, and heart—hopelessly complicates his mission.

Kur, the Lord of the Underworld, will stop at nothing to drain Reese of the power of her pure, ancient bloodline. But Dagan’s mission won’t end with destroying Kur. His bond with Reese breaks every law of the time walkers. And the fight to keep her is only beginning…

The Fury is book one of the Time Walker Series. If you love tales of danger, demons, and steamy romance with a strong heroine and alpha hero, this book is for you.

Rave Reviews for The Fury

Excellent read - action adventure paranormal. Currently a standalone but the cover says Time Walker Series so there is hope for more...
The hero is Dagan, an immortal from the Sumerian pantheon, who is trying to protect the heroine from being captured and drained by the villain. Reese, an archaeologist, discovers more than she ever wanted to know about the worlds of ancient deities, demons, and her own family tree.  ~Cindy - Goodreads Review

I had a blast reading this book. Dagan is to die for. But what guy that straps daggers to his thigh and a sword to his back isn't? Typically, I don't bond too well with the female characters but I didn't have that problem in The Fury. That Chloe. She's a force. And Riley is just crazy enough to get on one's good side. Then there's the main lady, Reese. She wants so badly to fight and protect herself, but she just doesn't have a clue. And infuriating as all get out!  There are a lot of characters in this story, especially males, but it's very easy to follow and enjoy.
I can't wait for the next in the series.  ~Karagan - Goodreads Review

Ok folks, so I work at B&N and a coworker recommended this book. I was interested just from reading the back and when I found that she was a local author, I wanted to support her. I then found out that I actually had met her. This was an amazing read that I couldn’t put down. I can only say it was like the first time I read my first DH book with Kyrian or my first BDB with Wrath. I was hooked and can’t wait to read the next. I highly recommend this author. Sloan is a new fave.  ~Lana Zachman - Goodreads Review
